È nato il 6 marzo 1981 a Kadiapattanam (Tamil Nadu) in India. Si è laureato conseguendo la licenza in filosofia presso il Divyadaan Salesian College, Nasik, India nel 2004. Ha compiuto gli studi teologici presso il Paul's Seminary, Tiruchy (India) e, successivamente, nel 2020, ha conseguito il dottorato in Filosofia presso l'Università Pontificia Salesiana, con una tesi dal titolo: From Plenitude Towards Superplenitude. A Metaxological Reconstruction of Ways to God According to William Desmond. Ha insegnato filosofia in due centri dell'India: Jnanodaya Salesian College, Yercaud (2004-2006, 2012-2016) e Don Bosco Vidyaniketan, Kalyani, (2006-2007). I suoi ambiti di ricerca ed insegnamento, a parte quello della Storia e della Filosofia contemporanea, riguardano la fenomenologia; filosofia della religione e la storia delle religioni, con particolare riferimento all'induismo e al buddismo. Dal 2020 è docente aggiunto della Cattedra di Storia della filosofia contemporanea.

Il progetto "Officina Latinitatis" nasce da un'idea del prof. Jacopo Rubini, con il fine di creare, sotto gli auspicii della Facoltà di Lettere Cristiane e Classiche, un sito web, che mettesse a disposizione degli studenti e degli appassionati di lingua latina degli scritti latini moderni, ovvero neo-latini, interessanti e intrattenenti e, per ciò stesso, utili ad apprendere la lingua latina attraverso letture piacevoli.
Nel sito sarà possibile trovare soprattutto versioni latine di favole e racconti originariamente scritti in volgare.
Anche i lettori e i visitatori del sito possono partecipare a questo progetto, sottoponendo ai professori Rubini e Lima le proprie versioni latine da pubblicare in questo nuovo "laboratorio", avendo così a disposizione un'occasione per scrivere in latino e coltivare la lingua in modo "vivo" e attivo: ciò che costituisce il secondo fine costitutivo di questo progetto.
